Surroundings
Alassio is surrounded by excellent bike and hiking trails. In fact, there are more than twenty-five different trails.
The small village of Garlenda in the mountains above Alassio is well worth a visit. In the beautifully restored village is among other things, a well-preserved castle from the middle ages (Costa del Castello Carretto).
Diving in the Mediterranean Sea
The Ligurian coast invites you to magnificent diving. There are plenty of old wrecks but some are protected in special zones where diving is forbidden.
